Wildfire Duty CSLEA Members Race To Action

So many of our California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) members  are  hard at work this week racing to put out flames, dispatching  crews, answering  911 calls, coordinating emergency response, and setting up camp support for firefighters .

Five fires continue to burn in California.  The largest fire,  the Springs fire in Ventura County, consumed 10,000 acres in less than 24 hours.  The Springs fire has damaged 15 residences, five commercial properties and 15 outbuildings.

To our CSLEA members in the California Emergency Management Agency (CalEMA) who are coordinating crews and emergency response, our members who are on the fire lines, our CALFIRE communications operators, our CHP public safety dispatchers, our CCC conservationists who are called upon to lead their crews in firefighting and camp support,  a HUGE thank you.

CSLEA recognizes that you are true safety professionals who are giving it your all to save homes and to save lives.

These fires will take some of you away from your own homes and families for days, if not weeks at a time.  Be safe!
