PORAC In Support Of CSLEA PORAC Members And Associations "abhor" POC / AFSCME Decertication Effort

letter_from_PORAC_246_274_c1-2To Our Valued CSLEA Members,

As you may be aware your California Statewide Law Enforcement Association is in serious discussions with  the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) about becoming a PORAC association member.

While this opportunity is being discussed, it is important to note that PORAC is in support of CSLEA and "exhorts" our members to "stay unified and reject" the decertification effort by POC and AFSCME.

I thank PORAC President Ron Cottingham for recognizing CSLEA's strength in bargaining and stature in California's legislative arena.

I, also, want to thank you for your patience and consideration during this attempt by POC and AFSCME to decertify CSLEA.

CSLEA  recognizes your professionalism and your invaluable law enforcement, public safety and consumer protection service to the State of California and will always work to protect your livelihood and financial security.

Sincerely,

Alan Barcelona

CSLEA President
