On June 11, 2014, CHP Golden Gate Division celebrated its annual Employee Appreciation Day. This year, the celebration was held at the Benicia Armory.
As part of the celebration and appreciation, employees nominated their peers to honor their hard work and efforts throughout the year. This year Public Safety Dispatcher Lynn Coda and Public Safety Operator Dave Landers were honored.
This year's theme was Hawaiian and those who attended enjoyed a BBQ lunch. Commissioner Joe Farrow , Golden Gate Division Chief Avery Browne, Golden Gate Division Asst. Chief Paul Fontana and division area commanders were in attendance. Employees families were there as well.
The event included a raffle that raised money for the division squad club. This was a day of camaraderie. It was a day of true fun and CHP pride.
