SACRAMENTO- On October 6, 2014, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona met with four legislative candidates who, if elected in November, will become California Assemblymembers.
"As president of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association, it is important that I personally introduce myself, and introduce our nearly 7,000 law enforcement, public safety and consumer protection members who do a magnificent job keeping Californian's safe and protected," said Barcelona. "We have honest and candid conversations about issues that directly impact our members and that includes health care and retirement."
Among the candidates Barcelona met with at CSLEA headquarters were:
Candidate Patrick O’Donnell for State Assembly District 70
O'Donnell is a teacher and Long Beach City Councilmember
Candidate Kansen Chu for State Assembly District 5
Chu is a San Jose City Councilmember
Candidate Bill Dodd for State Assembly District 4
Dodd is a Napa County Supervisor
Barcelona also discussed issues with Candidate for State Assembly District 56 Eduardo Garcia via Skype. Garcia is Mayor of Coachella.
