On March 3, 2015, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Directors attended a reception at the State Capitol honoring members of the Legislature.
"We are introducing more of our board members and affiliate board members to our state lawmakers," said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. "We have built a strong rapport with many of our legislators and we would like that to filter down to our affiliate board members. This gives legislators a chance to shake hands with and talk to a deputy state fire marshal, a DOJ agent, a health department investigator, among others, the very valued membership we represent."
Among the many legislators present were Assembly Speaker Toni G. Atkins, Assemblymembers Bill Quirk, Ken Cooley, Patrick O'Donnell, and Kansen Chu.
"We appreciate the opportunity to greet our friends in state government and build upon the platform we have already established at the State Capitol," said Barcelona. "I am proud of our board members and affiliate board members who have an interest in getting to know our lawmakers better."
