OROVILLE - On October 29, 2015, representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), and its affiliate Resources Protection Peace Officers Association (RPPOA), visited 30 California State Park Ranger and Peace Officer-Lifeguard cadets at the State Parks Law Enforcement Academy at Butte College in Oroville.
"These are cadets who will be in the academy through April and now is a good time to introduce them to RPPOA and CSLEA," said CSLEA Member Services Representative George Pina. "We want to meet them, introduce ourselves, let them know who they can contact and what our benefits and services are."
In addition to Pina, in attendance on behalf of RPPOA and CSLEA were RPPOA President Matt Yarbrough, CSLEA Chief Counsel and General Manager Kasey Clark, and Member Services Representative Marco Castro.
"We wish all of the cadets the very best as they proceed through the academy," said Pina. "For the 27 who became CSLEA's newest members, we welcome them and look forward to assisting them in their careers and, if the need arises, guiding them should they run into any situations that require legal advice or legal defense."
