SACRAMENTO - For nearly a year, in preparation for contract negotiations with the State, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) affiliate presidents, as well as CSLEA legal and membership representatives, have been meeting with CSLEA members to discuss possible contract proposals. That worked continued on February 25, 2016 when CSLEA Member Services Field Representatives George Pina and Marco Castro met with 14 criminal intelligence specialists at the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Sacramento.
"We've wrapped up that last minute crush, getting the last of proposals in before our February 28th bargaining proposal deadline ," said Pina. "CSLEA has received a large number of proposals from members and are currently reviewing and researching them. I want to thank our members for taking on an active role in this process. Many of the issues they are raising are exactly what should be dealt with at the bargaining table."
The CSLEA Negotiations Team will be meeting March 2, 2016 and the following week to finalize preparation. Formal bargaining will commence March 21, 2016.
