DeVon Young has been employed with the California Highway Patrol since April 8, 1998. He has spent his entire career at the Los Angeles Communications Center (LACC) and has proven himself to be a valuable asset.
DeVon has advanced to be a Certified Training Officer, a Public Safety Dispatch Operator in Charge (PSDOIC), as well as various other Departmental positions.
Most notably, DeVon was first elected as a CSLEA Site Representative in June 2007. DeVon currently holds a seat on the CHP-PSDA Board of Directors and thoroughly enjoys being a steward of his constituency.
DeVon enjoys listening to classical music and Latin jazz in his spare time. He also enjoys, smoking fine cigars, going to church, spending time with family, community service, and creating masterful culinary works in the kitchen!
