"The decision to adjust dues is never taken lightly. Every director on the CSLEA Board is a dues paying member, however given operating expenses and the political anti-pension, anti-labor minefield ahead of us, we need to be financially prepared to win the fight for each and every one of our members." - Alan Barcelona, CSLEA President
SACRAMENTO - The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve an adjustment to CSLEA dues to support operating expenses and the Political Action Committee (PAC) fund. In addition, sworn members of CSLEA will see an adjustment in Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) dues.
Per the CSLEA constitution (Article 13, Section 3), a membership dues increase occurs when membership receives a salary increase.
As of July 1, 2016, CSLEA membership dues will increase by 3 percent which amounts to $2.17 a month. CSLEA directors also approved an adjustment of $2.00 to PAC and $2.00 to FOP. The approved adjustments total $4.17 a month for non-sworn members and $6.17 for sworn members.
The directors unanimously agreed that this adjustment is prudent for the successful operation of CSLEA.
