SACRAMENTO – On September 13, 2016, Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 1627 – the Memorandum of Understanding between the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Bargaining Unit 7 and the State.
The Governor’s action finalizes the 2016-2019 contract and was necessary before any pay raises could be issued. It is CSLEA’s understanding that CalHR has completed pay letters to direct the State Controller’s Office regarding salary increases and adjustments, and it is our hope that September’s pay warrants will reflect those increases. Salary increases and special salary adjustments are retroactive to July 1, 2016. It is CSLEA’s belief that the retroactive pay will be issued in a separate check, but CSLEA is waiting for official state confirmation on how and when members will receive the increases and adjustments.
