CSLEA Welcomes New AMCOS Members

FRESNO -   There is a lot to learn and a lot to process as a new motor carrier specialist with the California Highway Patrol.  Add to that the, sometimes, maze that encompasses State employment and that’s where California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) member services representatives step in.

“Conducting a CSLEA New Employee Orientation really helps a person new to State employment to understand how their Bargaining Unit works and how CSLEA is there to help its members,” said CSLEA Member Services Representative Marco Castro.

Castro spoke to four new motor carrier specialists at the CHP Motor Carrier Safety Unit in Fresno on January 23, 2017.

“I would very much like to welcome new CSLEA members Robert Gridiron, Daniel Ford, John Pfening and Inderjit Bhogal,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona.   “These motor carrier specialists, now members of CSLEA and the Association of Motor Carrier Operation Specialists (AMCOS), protect us out on the road by inspecting buses and trucks and other commercial vehicles.  They also participate in CHP MAIT investigations.  We will assist them in their careers and be there should any problems arise.”
