RIVERSIDE - Never missing a chance to meet our newest members going to work for the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as public safety dispatchers, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate, CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association, hosted a new employee orientation at the Ben Clark CHP Center in Riverside, March 14, 2017.
CSLEA Member Services Representative Shelley Bishop and CHP-PSDA Secretary-Treasurer Steve Fulton introduced themselves to the dispatchers and discussed CSLEA benefits and services.
“These public safety dispatchers are first responders,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “They have a vital role in public safety and emergency response. It’s a high-pressure job and they will find they rely on each other for support. We want them to know we are here for them as well. We welcome them to CSLEA, CHP-PSDA, and CHP.”
