SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association Foundation Scholarship Committee is getting set to review approximately 50 applications and will award each of the eight most deserving applicants with a $1,000 scholarship.
“We are excited that we can offer these scholarships and enthused by the number of applications we received,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We know how hard it is for parents to finance their children’s, even their own, higher education and we are proud that we can assist with that.”
The scholarships are made possible through generous, tax deductible donations to the non-profit CSLEA Consumer Protection & Public Safety Foundation. The deadline for the application was May 26, 2017. The scholarship committee plans to notify and announce the recipients toward the end of August.
