Contract Negotiations Update

Hello CSLEA members,

Thank you for your patience in what is a time of anticipation for many of us, awaiting word on salary increases and adjustments, and the many details of a potential agreement with the state. Never wanting to rush with complicated details that will impact your lives, CSLEA and state negotiators paused contract talks this month as attention was turned to:

California's state budget in which legislators are required to pass by June 15th,
and state negotiators concluding contract talks with another bargaining unit.

We will provide updates, including the date in which CSLEA and the state will resume negotiations. Your negotiations team is strong, intelligent, and committed to you and your families. The tenacity of this team is second to none. I am confident we are headed in a positive direction. Substantial progress has been made on a new agreement but there are still a number of proposals and counter-proposals which need to be acted on. So, again, thank you for your patience. Please be sure we have your most updated email address and know that any updates that we email, will also be placed on our website.
