SACRAMENTO – After a brief break in contract negotiations, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) is scheduled to return to the bargaining table with CalHR on Friday, June 21, 2019.
“We have covered a great deal of ground in our negotiations but still have important items that are being addressed,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We are moving closer to, and our goal is to reach, a tentative agreement by the end of the month.”
Once a tentative agreement is reached:
- it will first be presented to the CSLEA board of directors who will decide whether to send it to CSLEA membership for a vote,
- CSLEA membership will have a period of time to review a summary of the tentative agreement,
- An electronic vote will take place.
“Thank you to all of our members who are anxiously, and patiently, awaiting the results of our negotiations,” said Barcelona. “The CSLEA negotiations team has devoted a massive amount of time and effort on your behalf, and I remain optimistic that we will have a positive outcome.”
