WEST SACRAMENTO - The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and CHP Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) welcomed a group of CHP Dispatchers to union membership on December 9, 2019. The dispatchers assigned to communication centers in Fresno, Barstow, Sacramento and Arcata are training at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento.
During their training session, they attended a new employee orientation conducted by CSLEA Senior Attorney Andrea Perez and CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar. The orientation gave the dispatchers a brief introduction to union membership, benefits and services.
“CHP dispatchers put in very long hours, many times under very stressful situations,” said Perez. “It’s important that the have a broad support system including their colleagues, site representatives, CHP-PSDA directors, CSLEA’s legal team and staff, as well as the CSLEA Board of Directors. We welcome our newest members urge them to reach out to us with any questions, comments or concerns. We also wish them the best in their new careers.”
