RIVERSIDE – On December 15, 2020, CHP-PSDA Secretary-Treasurer Steve Fulton met with three dispatcher-trainees at the Ben Clark Training Academy in Riverside to introduce them to union membership. Kayla Schroeder, Sabrina Brooks and Michael Turner are all training to become CHP public safety dispatchers.
“Students were given an overview of how joining the union can help them during their career, the many benefits membership provides, and how important it is to have a strong union going forward, so that it can protect our top tier benefits,” said Fulton.
All three dispatcher-trainees are stepping out of different career fields in order to serve their community by being a Public Safety Dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol. “With as challenging as 2020 has been, it’s refreshing to still see new people stepping up to join our ranks. I wish them the best of luck in their new career,” said Fulton.
