RIVERSIDE - On June 16, 2021, Steve Fulton, Secretary/Treasurer of the CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) conducted a new employee orientation at the Ben Clark Training Center in Riverside to introduce the union to two new dispatchers. Dispatcher Bret Johnson is assigned to the Ventura Dispatch Center and Dispatcher Bailey Simmons the Golden Gate Communications Center.
“Bret previously worked as a CHP Commercial Vehicle Inspection Specialist and is now going to try his hand as a first responder as a Public Safety Dispatcher with the department,” said Fulton. “Both Bret and Bailey are excited to get to work learning their new job and I applaud them for stepping up to join the team.”
Fulton discussed CSLEA union benefits and protection as well as pension and medical benefit protections through contract negotiation. Lunch was provided by CHP-PSDA.
