RIVERSIDE - On July 27, 2021, CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) Secretary-Treasurer Steve Fulton met with four public safety dispatchers training at the Ben Clark center in Riverside. Fulton conducted a New Employee Orientation (NEO) which allows the dispatchers to learn more about their union, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association and CHP-PSDA.
"The new dispatchers received information on benefits and protections that the union offers including unique access to attorneys, access to the Legal Defense Fund, benefit protections, voting rights, basic life insurance, the availability of supplemental life insurance, and the membership discount program," said Fulton. "All signed up for union membership and joined with us to protect our futures. The four new dispatcher members are Charline Torres from Inland, Christina Marshall from Chico, Jose Ramirez from El Centro, and Teletha Carter from Fresno. I am proud to welcome them to our family."
"We are extremely proud of all our public safety dispatcher and operator members and stand ready to assist them," said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. "My sincere thank you to Steve Fulton for conducting much of our NEOs at the Ben Clark center and for sharing his personal experiences with our newest members. Welcome Charline, Christina, Jose, and Teletha to CSLEA and CHP-PSDA!"
