WEST SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and its affiliate the CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) extend a very warm welcome to union membership to five CHP dispatchers currently training at the CHP academy in West Sacramento.
“It’s always a pleasure to meet with dispatchers who are training and to introduce them to why union membership matters in a challenging and chosen career such as theirs,” said CSLEA Senior Counsel Andrea Perez. “A fun surprise was meeting one of them who is already a CSLEA member, and is changing jobs within Bargaining Unit 7. During our visit, CHP-PSDA Vice President Victor Tovar and I answered questions, and spoke of the benefits, service and protection that union membership provides.”
The dispatchers will be working in CHP communication centers in San Luis Obispo, Vallejo, Sacramento and Fresno.
