In March 2026, the Sutter Creek Police Department (SCPD) received a tip that a store in Sutter Creek was selling THC products to minors. SCPD then contacted the Amador County Combined Narcotics Enforcement Team (ACCNET) which advised that it was aware of suspected ongoing crimes at that location.
ACCNET, SCPD and along with the California Highway Patrol, the Amador County District Attorney’s Office, the Department of Cannabis Control, California Department of Public Health, and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration worked together to gather additional information and to prepare an operational plan.
ACCNET authored a warrant to allow the business to be searched. When the warrant was executed, the combined groups located hundreds of illegal drug products. The items were seized and the owner was arrested.
