
WEST SACRAMENTO – On July 23, 2026, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Member Services Representative Victor Tovar met with three motor carrier specialists at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento.
Tovar introduced union membership to the new employees and highlighted CSLEA member benefits and services. He discussed the importance of having access to legal representation, the $15,000 basic life insurance benefit, scholarship opportunities, and CSLEA’s Exclusive Member Discounts Program. He also pointed out that union membership is career insurance while employed in a Bargaining Unit 7 position.
Tovar talked to the employees about CSLEA’s affiliate, Association of Motor Carrier Operation Specialists (AMCOS) which represents MCSs.
CSLEA and AMCOS welcome their newest members to the union and stand ready to assist them as they embark upon their very important public safety careers.
