VENTURA COUNTY – On July 6, 2026, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office announced that its East County Special Enforcement Unit concluded a lengthy and complex investigation into an organized vehicle theft operation responsible for targeting luxury and high-performance vehicles throughout Southern California.

The investigation began following the theft of a 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray valued at approximately $105,000, from a Thousand Oaks dealership during the early morning hours of May 19, 2026.

On July 1, 2026, detectives from the East County Special Enforcement Unit, in partnership with the Ventura County Auto Theft Task Force, Ventura County Organized Retail Theft Task Force, East County Investigations Bureau – Property Crimes Unit, and the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit, conducted a coordinated enforcement operation in Los Angeles County resulting in the arrests of Brandon Taylor and John Ivy on charges including Vehicle Theft, Conspiracy, and Possession of Stolen Vehicles.

Search warrants served in North Hollywood and Los Angeles led to the seizure of numerous items associated with vehicle theft operations, including blank temporary license plates, high-end vehicle key fobs, fraudulent vehicle documentation, electronic devices, and other evidence related to the investigation.

Investigators recovered or seized multiple high-value vehicles believed to be stolen or fraudulently registered, including:

• Lamborghini Aventador valued at approximately $450,000

• Porsche 911 Carrera valued at approximately $240,000

• Porsche 911 Targa valued at approximately $240,000

• BMW X7 M60i valued at approximately $110,000

• Ford Shelby GT500 valued at approximately $89,000

• Chevrolet Colorado Vaues at approximately $35,000

The estimated value is over $1.3 million.
