PISMO BEACH -During the first week of August 2026, Last week, the Pismo Beach Police Department hosted a multi-agency active shooter response training at Judkins Middle School, bringing together Pismo Beach police officers and staff with their public safety partners for critical, hands-on preparation.

Active shooter incidents are fast, unpredictable, and among the most dangerous situations first responders may face. Training side by side ensures that when seconds matter, emergency response teams communicate effectively, make sound decisions, and respond with precision. These joint exercises help strengthen coordination, sharpen essential skills, and reinforce the tactics needed under pressure.
