WEST SACRAMENTO – On September 28, 2026, nine dispatchers training at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento received a visit from California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Member Services Representative and CHP-Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) Vice President Victor Tovar. Tovar conducted a new employee orientation to introduce the associations to the dispatchers and to discuss the role the associations have in assisting CHP public safety dispatchers and operators throughout their careers.
The nine dispatchers recognized the import work that the union does to improve and protect their working conditions, salaries and benefits.
The dispatchers have an important role as first responders. CSLEA and CHP-PSDA work to be sure there are protection in place for the dispatchers’ safe, healthy and rewarding career.
The dispatchers are from the Golden Gate, Sacramento, Eureka, Inland and Orange County communications centers. CSLEA welcomes its newest members and thanks them for seeing the value in union membership.
