For two months agents with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) went undercover inside the Alameda Strip Club in Los Angeles and what they found resulted in the arrests of three people, including a club employee.
Agents, along with LAPD officers, arrested one employee and two patrons for selling and/or possessing cocaine. During the investigation, undercover agents purchased illegal drugs on several occasions.
“We understand ABC agents went in because there was a growing concern in the community about what was taking place in and around the club,” said Alan Barcelona, president of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA). CSLEA represents ABC agents. “This is a fine example of how our ABC agents team up with local law enforcement to combat a neighborhood or community problem.”
According to a press release, ABC is also reviewing the possibility of disciplinary action against the licensed business.
