Congratulations!
Julie Patterson, Public Safety Dispatcher at Border Communications, is one of three finalists for the San Diego County Dispatcher of the Year. This is the 10th year the award has been given out and the first time a dispatcher from the Highway Patrol has been named as a finalist.
Julie has been a CHP dispatcher for seven years and worked for Mira Costa College Police before joining the Highway Patrol. Officer safety is her first priority and she is constantly finding new ways to better herself and her communications center. She frequently spends her own time and money seeking further training and is a role model to many.
The San Diego Association of Public Safety Dispatchers will announce the winners at their annual awards banquet on Saturday, April 20th.
