Many of you are receiving information from the groups Peace Officers of California (POC) and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) regarding a campaign to decertify the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) as your exclusive bargaining agent.   

Some of that information is misinformation that may mislead you in your decision-making.  For instance, POC and AFSCME have been advertising PORAC Legal Defense Fund (LDF) coverage as a benefit that may be available to those who support the decertification campaign.  That is simply not true.  According to PORA ,  the plan referred to by AFSCME is for members outside of California.
