The California State Fair is  recognizing the courageous men and women who protect us with their service and bravery. On Wednesday, July 17, 2013, the fair  will honor heroes and veterans in all branches of the Armed Forces, law enforcement and first responders (including firefighters and paramedics) with FREE admission to the Fair. Free entrance applies to individuals in or out of uniform with proper identification but does not include family members or guests. First Responder and Armed Forces Day will feature a special kick-off event, exhibits and interactive activities staffed by representatives from these agencies. 

The California State Fair will be held July 12-28, 2013 at Cal Expo in Sacramento. 

Kick-Off Event Details:

• 10:00a             State Fair opens to first responder and armed forces guests
• 10:30a             Armed Forces Kick-Off
• 11:00a             First Responder Kick-Off
