On January 9, 2014, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) joined leaders in Sacramento area law enforcement, government, and district attorneys’ offices in hosting a “Celebrating Milestones” reception for Anne Marie Schubert, candidate for Sacramento County District Attorney, at The Sutter Club.
“Anne Marie Schubert is celebrating her 50th birthday and the race to become the next Sacramento County District Attorney, ” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “She is a superb prosecutor and has an excellent rapport and reputation with our law enforcement members. She has the passion, the integrity and the intelligence to lead Sacramento County in the protection of its citizens by prosecuting those who pose a threat to our safety and well-being.”
Shubert thanked her supporters and spoke of the need to keep Sacramento County safe for everyone, from the citizens who established roots here decades ago to the young children such as her own who still possess the innocence of youth and all it has to offer.
Shubert has 24 years of law enforcement experience. As a Sacramento County Deputy District Attorney, she has sent murderers, rapists and child molesters to state prison. She has prosecuted more than 100 jury trials.
