“Let’s stand up for public safety. Let’s make Sacramento a safer community.” – Anne Marie Schubert, Sacramento County Deputy District Attorney
On Wednesday, March 5, 2014, Sacramento County Deputy District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert filed the papers to officially declare her candidacy for Sacramento County District Attorney. She kicked off her official campaign that evening at the Sacramento Police Officers Association where volunteers picked up yard signs and strategized outreach.
“The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) has endorsed Schubert because she is a strong prosecutor and partner with law enforcement in fighting crime,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We joined our brethren at PORAC, the Sacramento Police Officers’ Association and Sacramento County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association in endorsing her. She’s the right candidate for the job.”
Schubert was raised in Sacramento and has spent her 24 year career standing up for victims and helping to make Sacramento County a safer place. She has served as prosecutor in more than 100 jury trials including sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence and murder cases.
“She has been supportive of our members and the jobs they perform protecting Californians,” added Barcelona. “We look forward to her successful election.”
