The CSLEA Consumer Protection & Public Safety Foundation Scholarship Application Review Committee is proud to announce it is now accepting applications for scholarships which are available to CSLEA members, their spouses and children.
Last fall, the foundation awarded nine $1,000 scholarships to assist CSLEA members with the cost of higher education. The foundation received dozens of applications, the highest number ever.
“This is something we are proud to offer to our CSLEA members and we know that many wait for the application process with much anticipation,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “We have a lot of deserving CSLEA candidates and I know last year it was tough narrowing it down to the nine recipients.”
The scholarship program is now in its 17th year and is made possible thanks to generous, tax deductible donations to the non-profit foundation. Much of the money is raised through an annual golf tournament. The directors of the CSLEA Consumer Protection & Public Safety Foundation work year round to seek donations and to raise money for this scholarship opportunity for CSLEA members.
