“These regional luncheons give us a chance to brief our licensing registration examiners about what’s happening with the association, what’s available to them and about their rights as they perform the very hazardous job of testing new, inexperienced, or senior drivers.” – COLRE Vice President Bernadette Gonzalez
On July 16,2014, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), along with affiliate California Organization of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE), hosted an informational luncheon at the Department of Motor Vehicles annual regional 7 meeting in Riverside.
COLRE President Francine Toth, Vice President Bernadette Gonzalez and CSLEA Senior Counsel Jim Vitko spoke to nearly a hundred licensing registration examiners about their workplace issues and concerns, their contract and their employee rights.
“It was a very positive group and we exchanged valuable information,” said COLRE Vice President Bernadette Gonzalez. “It is always good to see our members at these annual DMV meetings and at less formal functions like our CSLEA Barbecues. These are a great group of people and they provide a vital public safety service in helping to keep us safe out on the roads.”
This was one in a series of DMV regional meetings that are held annually.
