On October 6, 2014, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Unit-A Vice President Kenny Ehrman attended an event in Los Angeles for Attorney General Kamala Harris.   Harris spoke to a group of law enforcement and fire labor associations.

"It was great news,  to hear AG Harris speak of the grant money her department received for a six-special agent anti-methamphetamine team and to hear her stress the importance of protecting the pensions of public safety employees,"  said Ehrman.
