SACRAMENTO – On January 8, 2015, Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert was sworn in for her first term as DA. The ceremony was held at the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors Chambers. Schubert spoke to a standing-room-only audience and talked of her passion for law enforcement and criminal justice.
“We’re going to be hard core prosecutors when we need to be,” said Schubert. She also stated that police and prosecutors are critical to the safety of our communities.
“District Attorney Schubert is a person of strength and integrity and a fair and tough prosecutor,” said California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) President Alan Barcelona. “It was an honor and a privilege to witness her being sworn in as Sacramento County’s new District Attorney.”
Following the ceremony, family, supporters, Sacramento County employees and area law enforcement officers gathered in the lobby for refreshments and to congratulate Schubert. A celebratory reception followed at the Mohamed Family Center in Sacramento.
