On December 31, 2014, Governor Jerry Brown appointed Pamela Ahlin as the new Director at Department of State Hospitals.  Governor Brown also appointed Stephanie Clendenin as the new Chief Deputy Director.

Representatives from the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and the affiliates Hospital Police Association of California (HPAC) and State Employed Fire Fighters Association (SEFFA) have scheduled a meeting with Director Ahlin and Chief Deputy Director Clendenin for February 2, 2015. 

CSLEA and HPAC plan to discuss many of the critical issues that are impacting CSLEA members at Department of State Hospitals, including but not limited to; HPO Salary, HPO Recruitment and Retention, HPO Vacancies, HPO Overtime, DSH Law Enforcement Structure, POST Training, Policies and Procedures, HPO Safety (Equipment, Radio Communications, and Firearms) and  HPO staffing.

CSLEA and SEFFA plan to discuss  Fire Fighter Salary, Fire Fighter Recruitment and Retention, paramedic opportunities and the proposed Fire Captain classification.
