FRESNO – On January 14, 2015, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) held a site visit and lunch for Criminalists at the California Department of Justice Bureau of Forensic Services Fresno Regional Laboratory.
“Having our Member Services Representative Shelley Bishop, our Chief Counsel Kasey Clark and Association of Criminalists-DOJ President John Miller on hand to speak with our criminalists and also listen to their concerns, is vital to what we do,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “Through this interaction we can advise members of our services, talk to them face to face about the role that our Legal Defense Fund continues to play in defending our members, and advise them on the process of legislation and bargaining.”
“It was great seeing old friends and making new ones at the Fresno Lab,” said AC-DOJ President John Miller. “Sherrell Hildreth did a great job getting everyone together. Kasey Clark and Shelley Bishop were very informative, and the members asked a lot of good questions. These kinds meetings let our members know that we’re here, and that we can help. Good job CSLEA membership team!
Also in Fresno, on January 15, 2015, Member Services Representative Shelley Bishop visited with Investigators from the Department of Insurance, the Medical Board and the Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors State License Board.
“All of the visits were positive and they were happy CSLEA came to visit them in the valley,” said Bishop. “When asked if they would be interested in more contact from the their association, they all responded yes. The members I spoke to had positive remarks for the work CSLEA has done and only wished for more contact visits.”
