At its meeting on January 21, 2015, the Resource Protection Peace Officers Association (RPPOA) Interim Board adopted Bylaws for the CSLEA affiliate and set the timetable for its first election.
The nomination period for RPPOA president and/or director has been declared open effective January 23, 2015 through the close of business on February 23, 2015. To be eligible to serve as RPPOA president and/or director, a ranger or warden must be a full dues paying member in good standing with CSLEA/RPPOA and a member of CSLEA for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years immediately prior to nomination. The ranger or warden receiving the highest number of votes for president will be elected to the office; the next highest vote-getter from the opposite agency will be elected vice president. The four (4) rangers and four (4) wardens receiving the highest number of votes after the elections of president and vice president will be elected as directors. The term of office is two (2)years.
Upon receipt of a nomination, the member will be contacted to confirm if they accept the nomination. If the member accepts the nomination, his/her name will be added to the ballot. Ballots will be mailed to members on February 27, 2015 and must be postmarked no later than March 21, 2015.
