DAVIS- Residents in Davis and the surrounding area who had questions about how to best protect their money and their property joined some of the best fraud fighters in the state for a presentation of the most up-to-date information on how to prevent becoming a victim of
- identity theft,
- real estate and housing scams,
- schemes targeting senior citizens,
- insurance fraud,
- fraudulent medical & legal professionals.
California Statewide Law Enforcement Association Unit-A Vice President and California Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 77 Vice President Kenny Ehrman not only emceed the event, but conducted a segment about identity theft as well.
“This was a great town hall with a great crowd,” said Ehrman. “The senior citizens in attendance were very receptive. Assemblymember Bill Dodd has a wonderful group of constituents who asked a lot of questions, stayed after the formal presentation to speak to presenters one-on-one and thanked us from bringing to them, this very important information.”
The town hall was held Tuesday, July 21, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Davis Library at 315 E. 14th Street, Davis.
