“CSLEA and COLRE thoroughly enjoy these annual regional luncheons. They are an excellent opportunity for us to meet with our licensing registration examiners, to listen to what’s happening at their offices, to answer their questions and to let them know what’s happening at CSLEA and COLRE.” – COLRE President Bernadette Gonzalez
SACRAMENTO- On October 21, 2015, the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA), along with affiliate California Organization of Licensing Registration Examiners (COLRE), hosted an informational luncheon for licensing registration examiners at the Department of Motor Vehicles annual Regional III meeting in Sacramento.
COLRE President Bernadette Gonzalez and CSLEA Senior Counsel Ryan Navarre spoke to nearly 50 licensing registration examiners about their workplace issues and concerns, their contract, upcoming negotiations and their employee rights.
“Meeting with our licensing registration examiners is always an important and proud moment for me,” said Gonzalez. “These are individuals who are a layer of protection for those of us out on the road. They put themselves in harm’s way to provide the very important public safety service of testing new, inexperienced, disabled, and/or senior drivers to determine if they should become new or renewed licensed drivers. I thank them for their service and want to be sure their voices are heard and their needs are met.”
This was one in a series of DMV regional meetings that are held annually.
