Looking to be a Leader in Law Enforcement?

AMVIC_Ehrman_2015_ProfileBy CSLEA FOP Lodge 77 Vice President Kenny Ehrman

Having recently  enrolled in the University of San Diego's online Master of Science in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership program, I want to bring some important news to the attention of our members.

I have wanted to pursue my leadership in law enforcement education for quite some time and this new program is perfect for what I'm looking for.  On top of that, because I am a member of the California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA)  and the California Fraternal Order of Police (FOP),  I am receiving a $2,480 savings on tuition.

I am currently completing my first semester in the program and it has already helped me to develop the ability to research contemporary issues in law enforcement and to recommend policies or programs to address those issues. The first semester, alone, has helped me to look at issues from the prospective of my administration whenever possible which lends itself to better evaluating a possible solution.

I have worked as an investigator for the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) since June 1999 and I enjoy serving as the unit-A vice president of CSLEA  and vice president of California FOP Lodge 77.  As chairman of the CSLEA Foundation, I spend time educating senior citizens, veterans and immigrants on how they can best protect themselves from identity theft and other fraud.  I couldn't be more pleased with my decision, decades ago, to study criminal justice and enter a career in law enforcement.  Now, it's time to move forward with my law enforcement leadership education, so that I can continue on my career path and continue to help others who choose the same proud profession in public safety.

If this program is of interest to you, you can find additional information here.  Acquiring leadership & management skills, training in cutting edge law enforcement technology, studying community oriented policing strategy and implementation, learning when you want and where you want - this is why I have chosen USD's  100% Online Master of Science in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership degree.  At the discounted rate, I couldn't turn away from this opportunity. I am so enthusiastic about it, I felt the need to share it with you.  The Spring 2016 application deadline is November 30,2015.  I hope to see you in class!
