SACRAMENTO – When officers who maintain order and provide security at Department of Justice (DOJ) buildings in Sacramento asked when they could meet with California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) member services representatives, the answer was “anytime is always a great time.” That lead to a meeting March 28, 2016, with six DOJ security officers and CSLEA Member Services Representatives George Pina and Marco Castro.
“This was a very good meeting,” said Pina. “We had a productive discussion about contract negotiations, peace officer bill of rights, legal representation for grievances and complaints, HR 218, proposing legislation, and CSLEA benefits and services. These members have some concerns and I am grateful that they brought them to our attention and thank them for meeting with us.”
