SACRAMENTO – In what was the largest participation in any California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) contract ratification process, CSLEA members voted overwhelmingly (87%) to ratify the Tentative Agreement reached between CSLEA and the State.
“It is beyond encouraging to see this type of participation and I thank our members for studying the tentative agreement and becoming involved in the voting process,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “The agreement doesn’t go as far as we tirelessly pushed for, so that all of our members, who perform vital law enforcement, public safety and consumer protection jobs, earn paychecks and benefits worthy of their duties and contributions to the safety of citizens. We will never give up in our fight to do right by our members.”
The Tentative Agreement must be approved by the Legislature and signed by the Governor.
