SACRAMENTO- From Sacramento to San Bernardino, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) member services representatives met with new CSLEA members as they began their new jobs as California Fish and Wildlife wardens, state hospital police officers and examiners at the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
“Whether we meet with one new member or 20 new members, we want to be sure to drop in to say hello, introduce ourselves, let our new members know we are here for them and work for them,” said CSLEA Member Services Supervising Field Representative Richard Carrillo. “We want our members to know how to contact us and to not be shy about it. We have so many benefits and services available to our members, that, rather than just referring our members to our website, we can personally present what’s available.”
CSLEA Member Services Representatives George Pina and Marco Castro met with new members in Sacramento on August 8 and August 11, 2016, welcoming DMV examiners and CDFW wardens. Representative Shelley Bishop met with hospital police officers at Patton State Hospital on August 10.
On August 12, CSLEA Member Services Representatives Chris Scrimger and Jim Laughlin conducted a new employee orientation at Atascadero State Hospital. State Hospitals are tasked with the safety and protection of the mentally ill and or the criminally insane. Hospital police provide security for the hospital facility while driminal investigators conduct internal affairs investigations of hospital staff. CSLEA would like to welcome State Hospital Criminal Investigator Wendell Austin and State Hospital Police Officer Mathew Christensen as CSLEA’s newest members.
