Dear California Fraternal Order of Police Members,

The California Fraternal Order of Police (CA FOP) Foundation has set up a fund to assist San Diego Police Officer Wade Irwin, 32, and his family, during their extreme time of need.  As you may be aware, FOP Member Irwin and his partner were shot during a traffic stop on July 28, 2016.  Officer Irwin has a long road to recovery and we would like to do all that we can to help him, his wife and his small child. Donating to this fund is the way to ensure that 100% of the money collected will go to Officer Irwin  and his family to help them through this difficult time.

Unfortunately, during times like this, there are many scammers who will prey on the public’s generosity and create funds that aren’t entirely dedicated to the effort to support Officer Wade and his family.

We want to ensure you, that our fund is completely dedicated to Officer Irwin and his family.  Officer Irwin is a nine year veteran of the San Diego Police Department and our brother.  Please consider helping us to take care of one of our own so that he may focus on recovering and not on the financial burdens that can become more overwhelming than the healing itself.
