SACRAMENTO – On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 77 Vice President Kenny Ehrman will join California Assemblymember Bill Dodd for a free Fraud Prevention Town Hall in Sonoma. Ehrman, a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) investigator will present “Identity Theft: How Thieves Target You.”
“As a victim of identity theft myself, I know that fraud can have a lasting effect on all people in California,” said Assemblymember Dodd. “Please join me and learn from the experts how best to protect your money and property.”
The Town Hall will take place from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa Street in Sonoma. Topics will include identity theft, real estate and housing scams, current scams in Sonoma County, fraudulent activity in legal services and what you should know when hiring an attorney.
“This is a great time for Assemblymember Dodd’s constituents to meet him and to learn about protecting themselves from scam artists,” said Ehrman. “I especially like talking to those who attend these town halls, one on one, after the presentations, to assist them with their questions.
