SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) would like to welcome some of its newest members, CAL FIRE communications operators and CHP dispatchers.
“We visited 14 communications operators in Ione at the CAL FIRE Academy on Friday, November 4th and 11 public safety dispatchers at the CHP Academy in West Sacramento on Monday November 7th,” said CSLEA Membership Services Representative George Pina.
The communications operators in Ione were introduced to their affiliate president Daren Watkins of the CSLEA affiliate Fire Marshal and Emergency Services Association (FMESA). Watkins introduced FMESA Vice President Emily Kilgore, and spoke to the communications operators about the structure of CSLEA and the benefits and services of full membership.
A similar New Employee Orientation for CHP dispatchers was conducted by CHP Public Safety Dispatchers Association (CHP-PSDA) Vice President Victor Tovar.
CSLEA Member Services Representatives George Pina and Marco Castro were present at both meetings.
