“Our members in law enforcement, public safety, and emergency management responded to this crisis at a moment’s notice, some of whom were evacuated from their own homes. We thank all of them for their commitment to public safety and saving lives.” –CSLEA President Alan Barcelona
SACRAMENTO – The California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) thanks its many members who responded to the Oroville Dam emergency beginning Sunday, February 12, 2017.
“We have heard from our members at the Office of Emergency Services and CALFIRE to name a few of the many departments that called upon state workers to assist with planning, evacuations, communications, resources and all that went in to keeping hundreds of thousands safe from danger,” said Barcelona. “We humbly thank them and all the public safety professionals who were called upon to serve, and did. I know they will tell you they were just doing their jobs, but we extend our heartfelt gratitude.”
