LOS ANGELES – Congratulations and thank you to our California Statewide Law Enforcement Association (CSLEA) and California Association of Criminal Investigators (CACI) members who participated in the “Run to Remember” in Los Angeles on February 12, 2017. The half marathon and 10K run is a tribute to fallen law enforcement officers and first responders.
“This was an important event, because our Office of Special Investigations Metro State Hospital family went and supported our law enforcement family,” said Roberto Camacho, CSLEA-CACI member and MSH investigator. “We need to support each other in a tumultuous time in law enforcement.”
Investigator Camacho ran the 10K (59:23) with Investigators
- Investigator Darryl Hayes – 10K time 53:15
- Investigator Jared Rodriguez – 10K time 53:18
- Investigator Alyssa Gomez – 10K time 59:25
“I’m very proud of the effort this team put forth,” said CACI President Dennis Maffei. “I am also looking forward to cheering on a team of CACI members in the upcoming Baker to Vegas run.”
“We never, ever, forget the sacrifice that our fallen and their families have endured,” said CSLEA President Alan Barcelona. “These four investigators paid tribute to our fallen officers and first responders with every step of their 10K. They showcased their fraternal commitment to our brethren. Thank you.”
