Rangers, Peace Officer-Lifeguards and Wardens:
The nomination period for Resource Protection Peace Officers Association (RPPOA) board positions, including president and directors, is now open. The nomination period was declared open February 28th, 2017 and ends at the close of business on March 30, 2017.
At our meeting on February 15, 2017, the RPPOA Board set the timetable for our bi-annual election.
To be eligible to serve as RPPOA president and/or director, a ranger or warden must be a full- dues paying member in good standing with CSLEA/RPPOA and a member of CSLEA for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years immediately prior to nomination. The ranger or warden receiving the highest number of votes for president will be elected to the office; the next highest vote-getter from the opposite agency will be elected vice president. The four (4) rangers and four (4) wardens receiving the highest number of votes after the elections of president and vice president will be elected as directors. The term of office is two (2) years.
Upon receipt of a nomination, the member will be contacted to confirm if he or she accepts the nomination. If the member accepts the nomination, his/her name will be added to the ballot. Ballots will be available to members by April 7, 2017.
Completed nominations forms must be received no later than March 30, 2017. If you are a member and wish to vote in this election, please make sure to have an updated email address on file with CSLEA.
